Shane Sharp: An Experienced Professional Providing Recruitment and Consulting Services

The consulting services industry is one of the most important industries in the world today. It is responsible for providing advice and guidance to businesses of all sizes across all sectors. There are a number of reasons why the consulting services industry is so important. Firstly, it helps businesses save time and money by providing expert advice. Secondly, it helps businesses to find and hire the best talent. Thirdly, it helps businesses to improve their performance and boost their bottom line.

Businesses of all sizes often face difficulties when searching for the right candidate to fill a vacant position. Posting a job online and waiting for applications to come in is not always the most efficient way to find the perfect candidate. This is where business recruiting comes in.

Recruiting firms specialize in finding the right candidates for businesses in a variety of industries. Once they have found a pool of qualified candidates, they then screen them to identify the best fit for the position. A certified veteran-owned business Symbiotic Services LLC, led by Shane L. Sharp, Sr., is providing recruiting and consulting services nationwide to all sectors like healthcare, Business industries, Information Technology, etc.

A Proud Military Family

Shane’s family is and has been a proud military family. As such, they lived wherever his deceased father was stationed, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas. When his father retired from the Air Force, their family settled in Burleson, Texas, and Shane graduated from High School. Shane began his career when he got appointed to the United States Navy. He served as a Navy Hospital Corpsman and eventually went on to pharmacy school at the Naval School of Health Sciences. This strong medical foundation aided him in landing his first job in recruiting with the national firm of Merritt Hawkins and Associates.

While working for a national recruiting firm, he realized that the recruiting and staffing industry could benefit from the services of a veteran-owned business that specializes in finding work for veterans and offering consulting services to those businesses. This realization motivated him to rebrand its parent company into Symbiotic Services LLC, a certified veteran-owned business (VSOB), and he founded the business in early 2018.

Satisfactory Recruiting and Consulting Services

Symbiotic Services LLC, Headquartered in Bedford, provides nationwide recruiting and consulting services to clients in the aerospace industry, behavioral health industry, industrial sector, information technology sector, municipalities, counties, and states, utility companies, water and sewer departments, educational facilities, and educational institutions. In addition, Symbiotic specializes in the recruitment of upper-level executive management for a variety of different clientele.

Shane asserts,” I may not be the smartest CEO in the country, but I am wise enough to surround myself with people who are. As CEO, I lead our Company, but I do not lead alone. My right hand is my Executive Vice President, Steve Bianco. He is an absolute rock and a man of utmost integrity. Together we have more than 60 years of staffing experience. It is not my job to come up with all the ideas.”

“It is my job to implement the best ideas to forge long-term growth and success. I am blessed with being a good listener. I listen to our Team’s suggestions and respect our Team’s input, especially input regarding client satisfaction, dissatisfaction, or feedback that can affect Symbiotic future business strategy. VP Bianco demands and ensures client satisfaction.” he said

Symbiotic is in the final phase of the development of a platform that will be one of the required tools for a recruiting and staffing company to be competitive in today’s evolving labor market. Roll out of this product will be in mid-2023.

A Win-Win Strategy during Pandemic Crisis

Historically, the recruiting and staffing industry worked to find appealing business models to satisfy its clients while increasing its own net profit – the Retained Model and the Contingent Model. Both models have a common thread that allows the average recruiter to cherry-pick the easier placements and live off the retainer or commissions while the remaining, more difficult job openings wither on the vine.

The Pandemic changed the world. The demand for workers far exceeded the supply. Higher wages, flexible hours, and better benefits were the norm. But the Pandemic changed the way staffing companies must do business. Survival requires adaptation. CFOs desired stability and accurate projections so that staffing requirements could be budgeted. Neither the Retained Model nor the Contingent Model could provide these.

As a result, Symbiotic created a hybrid model that innovatively combines the benefits of the Retained Model and the benefits of the Contingent Model to create a KPI (Key Performance Indicator) model that offers a win to the client by saving the client money and a win to Symbiotic Services by redefining Symbiotic’s relationship with its clients. Stronger placement results measured by objective metrics are required for the Symbiotic Partner on Demand™ (POD) business model. As a result, the client has a dedicated team of Sourcers and Recruiters who work solely for that client. This exclusivity strengthens the client’s in-house Human Resource Team. Symbiotic work is linked to KPIs, and Symbiotic compensation for services is determined by meeting these KPIs. The Client’s CFO can now accurately project and budget staffing requirements by utilizing Symbiotic Partner on Demand™ (POD).

Shane asserts, “Except for meeting the demand for Symbiotic Partner on Demand™ (POD), currently our Company is not having to deal with any difficulties. If meeting market demand for our Partner on Demand™ (POD) is considered difficult, then we are blessed to have this difficulty.”

Workplace Motivation and Productivity

Workplace motivation is something every employee needs to have to be productive and successful in their job. It may seem easy, but there are many different ways to motivate a person, and it can be hard to know how best to do this. There are also many different types of motivation, which all have their own strengths and weaknesses. One clear thing is that there is no one-size-fits-all solution for motivating employees, so it’s important for managers or business owners to tailor their approach as needed.

At Symbiotic Services, Workplace motivation and productivity are fuelled with gratitude. Shane personally expresses his gratitude to the employees as often as possible for their good work. Staff meetings are held weekly. Each staff member is expected to provide constructive criticism of any Company decision that might adversely affect the individual staff member or the Company’s values. Short-term and long-term goals are set. When the goals are met, employees are rewarded with PTO and Company paid special events such as professional sporting events, concerts, PGA tournaments, and paid trips for employees and their significant others.

Words of Wisdom as a distinguished leader

The late, retired CEO of Walmart, David Glass, opined that, over time, a Company develops a soul, and the Company’s soul is nourished by doing good, or the Company’s soul is destroyed by doing bad.

Personally, and as CEO of Symbiotic Services, I strive to walk this difficult path. In every business decision I make for Symbiotic Services, I want to and try to do what is right. Even if my decision costs the Company short-term profits, if it is the right decision for the right reason, the Company will be successful in the long run – this is the foundation of Symbiotic Services.” he said
