BMW Group Reports Strong Sales Growth in First Half of 2024

Munich, Germany – July 11, 2024

BMW Group today announced its sales results for the first half of 2024, reporting significant growth.

“Despite challenging market conditions, we’re pleased with our sales performance,” said Oliver Zipse, Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW AG.

Key Highlights:

– Group sales increased by 10.3% to 1,353,792 vehicles.

– BMW brand sales grew by 9.5% to 1,143,439 vehicles.

– Electric vehicle sales more than doubled to 71,511 units.

Regional Sales Performance:

– Europe: Sales increased by 7.4% to 543,216 vehicles.

– China: Sales rose by 15.6% to 388,943 vehicles.

– North America: Sales grew by 5.5% to 232,215 vehicles.

Top-Performing Models:

– BMW 3 Series: Sales increased by 14.1% to 241,833 units.

– BMW X5: Sales rose by 10.3% to 148,831 units.

Electrification Strategy:

BMW Group aims for 50% of global sales to be electric vehicles by 2030.

“We’re accelerating our electric vehicle rollout,” said Pieter Nota, Member of the Board of Management.
