According to Buckingham Palace, the Queen is under medical monitoring at Balmoral after physicians became worried about her health.

All of the Queen’s children have gathered at or are on their way to her Scottish estate near Aberdeen.

“Following additional evaluation this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned about Her Majesty’s health and have suggested that she remain under medical monitoring,” according to a statement.

It went on to say that the Queen is “comfortable.”

Buckingham Palace rarely issues statements like this since it is normally reticent to speak on the 96-year-old monarch’s medical affairs, which are considered private.

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall have arrived at Balmoral. A flight carrying seven members of the Royal Family is scheduled to arrive at Aberdeen Airport soon.

The Duke of York and the Count and Countess of Wessex are on their way to the Scottish estate, which is located around 40 miles (64 kilometers) west of Aberdeen.

Princess Anne is already in Scotland on official business and is staying at Balmoral.

The Duke of Cambridge is also on his way as the Duchess of Cambridge remains in Windsor with their children for their first full day of school.

According to a spokesman, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who were scheduled to attend a charity event in London, are instead visiting Balmoral.

Barriers are being erected outside one of the estate’s entrances.

There are definitely significant worries about the Queen’s health – far more forcefully stated than previously and without any mention of this being limited to mobility issues.

There are also cautions against false speculation, such as the possibility that she experienced a fall.

She was on her feet and smiling as she appointed new Prime Minister Liz Truss on Tuesday.

But the Queen’s health is clearly fragile, as evidenced by the last-minute cancellation of what would have been a virtual meeting of the Privy Council – comprising top ministers.

Ms. Truss stated that the revelation would “seriously alarm the entire country.”

“At this time, my thoughts – and the thoughts of people all around the United Kingdom – are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family,” she continued.

Instead of traveling to London for the celebration, the Queen selected Ms. Truss as Prime Minister at Balmoral.

Throughout her 70-year reign, the Queen has generally met with her new prime minister at Buckingham Palace.

“My prayers, and the prayers of people across the [Church of England] and the nation, are with Her Majesty The Queen today,” stated Archbishop Justin Welby.

“May the presence of God encourage and comfort Her Majesty, her family, and those who look after her in Balmoral.”

The Queen’s illness was revealed as MPs were hearing details of the government’s new strategy to assist households and companies with energy expenses in the House of Commons.

Nadhim Zahawi, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, entered the Commons and chatted with Ms. Truss. Notes were then delivered to the Speaker of the House of Commons and the Labour front bench.

Minutes afterward, the palace issued a statement.

In a statement, Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer expressed his “deep concern,” while Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon expressed her thoughts and wishes to the Queen.

Wales’s First Minister, Mark Drakeford, extended his best wishes on behalf of the Welsh people.

Since July, the Queen has been on vacation in Scotland.
